Who we are

Boycho Popov has more than 20 years of experience in journalism and has worked as an editor for the largest business publications in Bulgaria. He began his journalistic career in 2000 at the German-language edition of Bulgarisches Wirtschaftsblatt, where he rose to the position of deputy editor-in-chief. He later worked as an editor for the largest specialised business media in the country. He has spent the last 12+ years at the country’s most widely read business and financial website and has been its Editor-in-Chief for the last 8 years. He has extensive television experience as a presenter and producer.

He is the recipient of the Irish Embassy’s James Boucher Journalism Award for his innovation in the role of online journalism and his clear stance in support of civil movements and the right to a GMO-free environment.

Over the past year, Popov has been actively involved in public communications and public relations, serving as Director of Strategic Communications at the Ministry of e-Governance. He has also developed numerous strategies for communicating and crisis public communications.

Boycho Popov holds a Master’s degree in German Philology with a specialisation in Linguistics and Translation from the University of Sofia “Kliment Ohridski”.
